A gourmet tour in Japan for health and longevity, to make your life happy!

It is a gourmet tour where you can try out brewed foods, such as Japanese sake, miso, vinegar, mirin, and also sushi made with vinegar, that contribute to the long life expectancy of Japanese people.

Did you know?
The top three average life expectancy in the world, by country:
3rd Singapore – 83.1 years old
2nd Switzerland – 83.4 years old
1st Japan – 83.7 years old
(WHO World Health Statistics 2016)

One of the reasons why the average life expectancy of the Japanese is long is said to be in Japanese food. Foods that are the foundation of Japanese cuisine are brewed foods such as sake, soy sauce, miso, vinegar, and mirin.

Brewed food contributes not only to the deliciousness of the food, but also to the healthy life of Japanese people. Aichi prefecture is the only one in Japan that produces all five brewed foods.

Won’t you join us on a journey to experience and learn about Aichi’s health and longevity-producing brewed foods?

We prepared a three-day trip for you to try out these healthy foods!
We will depart from Nagoya Station, which is in the centre of Japan, on our first day on the trip.

A trip of a sake cellar tour of an amazing local brew, and a sushi-making tour!

Sushi is Japanese cuisine’s fast food, so to speak.
And a type of sushi called shari or sushi rice uses vinegar brewed in Aichi.

In Plan 1, you will go on Aichi’s sake brewery tour and tasting of the local brew, and experience yourself making sushi.
Please enjoy a healthy diet of local sake made from Aichi’s rice, and making sushi made from Aichi’s vinegar.

A trip of healthy miso soup hatchoumiso and local beer and local wine!

Hatchoumiso is a high quality miso made by fermenting soybeans in Okazaki City, Aichi Prefecture.
Because fermented soybeans condense healthy ingredients, Japanese food is a source of healthy diet.

In Plan 2, we will observe the hatchoumiso and then try out a dish using it afterwards.
Please enjoy hatchoumiso at the foot of the scenic Inuyuma Castle which has the oldest tenshū in Japan.

A trip consisting of healthy sake mirin and the pro shirodashi with amazing Nagoya cuisine!

Nagoya cuisine is home cooked meals with Japanese dishes arranged in a contemporary style.
Mirin produces a healthy sweetness, and the soy sauce as shirodashi (white soy sauce with soup stock) draws out the deliciousness of the cooking.

In Plan 3, you will get to try out Nagoya cuisine on a visit to Aichi’s miso storehouse and soy sauce factory.
Please enjoy a healthy diet with a taste of Japan’s unique healthy sweetener mirin and the shirodashi that brings out the deliciousness.
