5-hour authentic sushi making experience tour
The culture of nigiri sushi, which developed as Edomae sushi, has its origins in the vinegar for sushi made in Aichi. As such, Aichi, which is the number one producer of vinegar in Japan, is also the birthplace of nigiri sushi culture. “Tamahagane Honkaku Nigiri Sushi Restaurant” is a reproduction of a sushi restaurant before nigiri sushi became popular as conveyor belt sushi. Here, top-class sushi chefs will personally teach you how to make nigiri sushi. The taste of the sushi you make yourself is exceptional, and it’s also fun to compare it with nigiri sushi made by a professional chef.
The name of our restaurant, “Tamahagane” (Steel), comes from the fact that Japanese swords made from Tamahagane are on display inside the restaurant. Famous swords polished by swordsmiths in Seki City, Gifu Prefecture, our sushi chefs strive every day to create works of art in nigiri sushi, with the same spirit.
Enjoy the experience of making sushi with the “Tamahagane” that is used to make nigiri sushi works of art.
